John Boone
I specialize in one-on-one sessions designed to turn challenges into opportunities, offering strategic coaching insights and practical solutions that help individuals not only succeed but also thrive.
With nearly 30 years of experience leading major initiatives at IBM and mentoring emerging leaders, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of personal guidance. That’s why I launched my coaching practice—to focus on the conversations that unlock bold decisions, smart strategies, and lasting transformation.
Since 2022, I’ve coached small business owners through SCORE Raleigh and supported individuals from diverse backgrounds—career shifters, early-stage founders, creatives, and emerging leaders—each with unique goals and untapped potential. I served on the Executive Committee, heading up workshops and Chapter Outreach activities. I received the Distinguished Leadership Award in 2024 and Rookie Mentor of the Year in 2023.
I have spoken on leadership at numerous community events, including those hosted by Rotary Clubs, Chambers of Commerce, Churches, Wake County Public Schools, and Wake Technical College.
I launched Re-image Life Coaching, a division of Boone Business Consulting LLC, in 2025.
My coaching draws on:
IBM Retiree, Hands-on experience leading enterprise-wide transformations across industries

Maxwell Certified, Professional Coach, Group Facilitator
As a bilingual District Sales Manager with over 32 years of experience at a Fortune 200 corporation, I was fortunate to witness the extraordinary impact of strong leadership, a collaborative spirit, effective onboarding, and a value-driven culture during the first 15 years of my career. These foundations shaped a thriving environment where trust and excellence flourished.
However, when that framework unraveled, I saw an iconic company begin to deteriorate, losing its essence and identity. A new wave of leadership emerged, disregarding the principles that had nurtured a culture of trust and positive influence. Collaboration faded, and the carefully crafted training and onboarding program—once the industry’s benchmark for excellence—was abruptly canceled. Human capital, once deeply valued, became subject to unchecked power and growing stress.
It was during those early years that I discovered John Maxwell’s teachings. His relationship-centered, values-based approach had a profound effect on me. Through his motivational videos and principles, I found the tools to lead, train, and inspire a sales force of over 700 representatives across three distinct platforms: wholesale, brick-and-mortar retail, and multilevel marketing. I became a catalyst for developing leaders in these diverse markets, using Maxwell’s vision as a guiding force.
Eventually, the company was sold to a foreign investor. The sales force dwindled, and field management positions—including mine—were eliminated. What many saw as a setback, I embraced as a launchpad. I chose to channel my passion into a new mission: becoming a full-time John Maxwell speaker, coach, and trainer.
His framework of hope and empowerment didn’t just equip me to overcome professional disruption—it also became a lifeline through personal adversity. Today, I’m driven by a desire to open doors of hope, reignite purpose, and help businesses and individuals deepen their understanding of effective internal and external communication.
